Detroit Axle

In honor of engineering day, I visited Detroit Axle in Ferndale today as part of my #ManufacturingMonday program. Started by current CEO Mike Musheinesh’s father, an immigrant, the auto parts supplier and remanufacturer has been in the family for two generations! Theirs is the Michigan dream at work and they now employ 300 people, including formerly incarcerated folks, in Metro Detroit. We discussed the ongoing trade negotiations, what Congress can do to make sure they can sell to many markets, and legislation I’m working on to make sure the future is #MadeInMichigan. Thank you to Mike and his incredible team for such a great visit!!
