“I never knew that this sort of assistance was available”

Andrea Feller of Novi contacted my office because she was having trouble getting her passport renewed.

My office was able to help Andrea get her new passport within one week.

“I submitted my passport for renewal, and after about 6 weeks I contacted the National Passport Agency for an update,” said Ms. Feller. “They had effectively lost my application. They didn’t even acknowledge their error (even though I had a tracking number saying that my package had been delivered to them). With an impending travel itinerary quickly approaching, I struggled with my next steps. I received a recommendation to reach out to my congressional office. The next day, I received an email stating that my passport application was in process (apparently lost items are miraculously found when a congressional office starts poking around). Within one week I had my new passport in hand, and they were kind enough to waive the expediting fees. I never knew that this sort of assistance was available to me. The staff members were prompt, courteous, and effective. Their hard work is much appreciated!”
