"They understand the troubles we go through as immigrants and are very patient with us.”

Virati Sanghvi, Canton, turned to our office for help with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services after having to apply for his Employment Authorization Document twice. We were happy to help get his EDA issued and the lost fees refunded.

“I had to file for my Employment Authorization Document (EAD) again because of a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) error. USCIS did not update my address and sent the EAD to my old address which became lost. We had all the paperwork to prove it was a clear agency error but USCIS would not listen to reason. That is when we contacted Congresswoman Stevens’ office for help. They filed an inquiry on our behalf to expedite the second application for an EAD as well as get a refund for that application. Her office was able to get my EAD [issued] and fees back which I had absolutely no hope for. I appreciate all the efforts Congresswoman Stevens’ office put into resolving my issue. I think they understand the troubles we go through as immigrants and are very patient with us.”
