“We really appreciate the fast action.”

Ms. Sarah Wisner, of Troy, was unable to get her father’s service records from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

My office was able to help secure partial records from other departments.

“I tried to get my Father’s service record a couple of years ago through the VA but learned that much of my dad’s record was lost in the fire in 1973,” said Sarah Wisner. “However when Congresswoman Stevens asked for these records, a more thorough search brought us some of his records from other places. His time in the service and his honorable discharge, among others. These new records give us the information that we really need to move forward. We really appreciate the fast action that Congresswoman Stevens and her staff took in support of my mother’s request.”
