“Within one month, I had my records in hand.”
“I am a veteran and was stationed at Camp Lejune during the time Marines were drinking, swimming and showering in toxic water. I needed information on where on base I was housed in order to determine my level of exposure. I needed my military records for this information. The Department of Defense (DOD) acknowledged receipt of my request in February 2020 and by September 2023 my request was still listed as ‘received.’ I contacted Representative Stevens’ office in October 2023. Her staff contacted me and processed my request to the DOD. Within one month, I had my records in hand. Thank you, Congresswoman Stevens!” - John, Auburn Hills
