After being named the most effective Democrat in the House from Michigan earlier this year, Stevens once again recognized for effectiveness in winning for Michigan

WASHINGTON, D.C. – ICYMI: Congresswoman Haley Stevens was once again recognized for her effectiveness in Congress. A new report from the Center for Effective Lawmaking found that Congresswoman Stevens was the most effective Democrat in the entire Congress on technology issues.

Earlier this year, Congresswoman Stevens was recognized as the most effective House Democrat from Michigan.

• Two Michigan Democrats serving in Washington, D.C. were among the most effective lawmakers in terms of sponsored legislation in a specific policy area, the Center for Effective Lawmaking said in a new report.

• U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens of Birmingham was noted as the most effective Democrat in terms of technology-based legislation, whereas U.S. Sen. Gary Peters of Bloomfield Township earned a spot as most effective in several different areas of legislative policy, the report showed.

• The list did not cite a single member of the Republican delegation in the U.S. House of Representatives as being most effective in any of the given policy areas.
