Nancy Pelosi visits Michigan highlighting electric vehicle production and policy
U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) visited Oakland County Wednesday to tour an electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturer and tout EV provisions included in the Inflation Reduction Act.
Pelosi was joined by of U.S. Reps. Haley Stevens (D-Birmingham) and Debbie Dingell (D-Ann Arbor), as well as State Sen. Rosemary Bayer and State Reps. Kelly Breen and Ranjeev Puri, for a tour of Our Next Energy (ONE), an EV battery start-up founded in July 2020 and headquartered in Novi, to discuss EV battery production and technologies, and to highlight EV policies included in the Inflation Reduction Act. Mujeeb Ijaz, company founder and CEO, led the tour.
