New Legislation to Require Lawmakers to Drive Union-Made Vehicles

Two of Michigan’s Democratic members of Congress are rolling out new legislation that would require lawmakers to drive union-made vehicles when they’re on official business.
U.S. Representative Haley Stevens and Senator Elissa Slotkin plan to introduce matching bills today that would limit the use of congressional office budgets to purchase or lease only American-made, union-built cars. Right now, there’s no rule dictating what kind of vehicle a Member of Congress can drive.
