Waterford Supervisor: Future is bright
March 10, 2023
Waterford Township’s progress in 2022 and 2023 includes a new master plan, an expanded transit system, pavement improvement and brighter streetlights, according to the township’s supervisor, Gary Wall.
Housing remains a concern as does creating more walkable destinations. One goal, reviving the Drayton Plains area as a retail center, will be aided by a $750,000 grant secured by U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens, he said. Another is increasing the housing stock. The township cleared the way for new housing after demolishing 23 old homes in a blight-reduction effort.
