Today, Michigan Congresswoman Haley Stevens toured the Webasto Plymouth Plant, meeting with workers and highlighting her ongoing push to strengthen Michigan’s domestic supply chains. During the visit, she emphasized the importance of investing in local innovation and high-tech workforce training to keep Michigan at the forefront of automotive and precision manufacturing.
Webasto is a global leader in the production of automotive roofs, batteries, and heating and cooling systems, helping to build the next generation of cars right here in Michigan.
“Michigan workers are building the next generation of vehicles right here at home,” said Rep. Stevens. “By investing in advanced manufacturing and our skilled workforce, we’re making sure the future of automotive innovation is designed, tested, and built in Michigan.”
“We appreciate Congresswoman Stevens taking the time to tour our manufacturing facility today,” said Brad Ring, CEO of the Americas region for Webasto. “We valued the opportunity to highlight our Webasto Plymouth team’s manufacturing capabilities and contributions to innovation in the region.”
Since first taking office, Congresswoman Stevens has visited hundreds of manufacturers across the state, and her tour of Webasto showcases Michigan’s role at the center of global automotive and clean energy innovation. She serves as the top Democrat on the Research and Technology Subcommittee of the Science, Space, & Technology Committee.
