Congresswoman Stevens Honors Vietnam Veterans during Commemoration Ceremony
NOVI, MI – On Sunday, October 27th, Congresswoman Haley Stevens hosted a Vietnam War Commemoration Ceremony in Novi honoring eight Vietnam Era veterans from Michigan’s 11th District. During the ceremony, Congresswoman Stevens presented veterans with a lapel pin from the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration. The ceremony took place at the Novi Public Library.
“Too many Vietnam era veterans never received the gratitude they deserve for their sacrifice and service to our country,” said Congresswoman Stevens. “It was an honor to host this Commemoration Ceremony to recognize Vietnam era veterans in Michigan’s 11th District and present them with a special lapel pin as a symbol of our profound appreciation for their bravery and selflessness.”
Living United States veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces at any time during the period of November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, regardless of location, are eligible to receive a lapel pin.
