Congresswoman Stevens Issues the Below Statement on Sen. Stabenow's Retirement

Washington, DC– Today, Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) issued the following statement:

"No one has inspired or guided my political career more than Senator Debbie Stabenow. She shattered the glass ceiling in Michigan and made a path for a new generation of Democratic women to run for office and deliver for our state. From her work on the U.S. Auto Rescue Task Force that saved thousands of Michigan jobs, making sure that our food supply chains were strong throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to her relentless advocacy for better substance abuse and mental health treatment, she has put the people of Michigan first each step of the way. 

The work is far from over; I look forward to working with Senator Stabenow for the next two years. Passing a farm bill that meets the needs of Michigan's agricultural communities, ensuring that hungry kids are fed, and fighting for our best-in-class manufacturers who keep America on wheels.
