House Passes Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program Definition Clarification Act, Stopping China from Poaching U.S. Scientists

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program Definition Clarification Act on a voice vote. This critical, bipartisan legislation, co-led by U.S. Representatives Haley Stevens (D-MI) and Mike Garcia (R-CA), will make sure that top American research talent is not recruited by our foreign adversaries, without stymying needed research collaboration and advancement. 

This is the 9th bill Rep. Stevens led or co-led that passed the House this year. 

"With today's passage of the Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program Definition Clarification Act, the Congress takes the right steps to safeguard our nation's innovation economy from adversarial threats,” said Rep.
