Rep. Stevens to Convene First Research & Technology Subcommittee Hearing

WASHINGTON—Congresswoman Haley Stevens (MI-11) will convene her first hearing as Chairwoman of the House Subcommittee on Research & Technology tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 10 a.m. ET in Washington, D.C.

 

“I am so excited to hold my first hearing as Chairwoman of the Research & Technology subcommittee on the critically important topic of biotechnology. From sustainable agriculture to advanced manufacturing, the future of bioengineering will have a huge impact on our economy and our environment. I look forward to this opportunity to learn from experts and industry leaders about the status of ongoing research as we determine what role the federal government should play in supporting advances in biotechnology, as well as what this means for the innovation economy in southeastern Michigan.” said Congresswoman Stevens.
