Rep. Stevens to Serve on the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology
WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Haley Stevens (MI-11) made the following statement after being appointed to serve on the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology.
“It is an honor to be appointed to the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology,” said Congresswoman Haley Stevens. “I will use this position to advance the economy of southeastern Michigan and leverage research and development programs that bolster our manufacturing sector, the lifeblood of our region. My background in manufacturing research has shown me firsthand how essential federal resources are to regional growth, workforce development, and expansion for small- and mid-size manufacturers. American greatness falls squarely on our ability to innovate, and I am excited to preserve and expand investments in critical research across the automotive, technological, and scientific fields for the betterment of the Metro Detroit region.”
Last week, Congresswoman Stevens was appointed to the House Committee on Education & Labor.
