WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the office of Haley Stevens issued the following statement: 

“Today, Congresswoman Haley Stevens is thrilled to announce her engagement to longtime friend, attorney, and Huntington Woods resident Jason Turkish.

“Haley and Jason share a deep love of family, community, and long conversations that have only gotten better over the years. Jason, who is legally blind, has devoted his career as an attorney to advocating for the rights of people with disabilities, from the courtroom to Capitol Hill. It was along the path of that work that Haley and Jason first met, brought together by a shared commitment to giving a voice to those too often unheard.

“What began as a friendship grew into a partnership grounded in shared values, plenty of laughter, and a deep love for the community they call home.

“They are overjoyed to begin planning their life together, surrounded by the family and friends they love in Oakland County, Michigan.”
