Stevens Receives Spirit of Enterprise Award from U.S. Chamber of Commerce

June 22, 2020

LIVONIA, MI – Today, Congresswoman Haley Stevens (MI-11) received the “Spirit of Enterprise” Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The award is given annually to Members of Congress based on their bipartisan leadership and support for pro-growth policies.

“I am a big believer in the ability of the government and private sector to come together for the best results, to create jobs, spur investments, and take advantage of global opportunities,” said Congresswoman Stevens. “This is what we do every day in Michigan’s 11th District, as a hub of manufacturing talent and ability, with the largest collection of automotive suppliers in the country. It is an honor to be recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as a bipartisan leader on the USMCA and other key economic issues, and I will keep working across the aisle to strengthen Michigan’s manufacturing sector during this economic recovery period.”

“In these uncertain times with daunting economic and social challenges facing our nation, it is imperative that leaders in Washington are focused on propelling American businesses forward to create jobs and economic growth from California to Maine,” said Thomas J. Donohue, CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “As we rebuild our economy, legislators must lead by pursuing bipartisan solutions that create jobs and promote a free enterprise system. I’m proud to recognize these 259 Members of Congress for their commitment to driving opportunity and prosperity in America’s workforce and on Main Streets across the nation.”
