WASHINGTON, DC. – Today, Congresswoman Haley Stevens (MI-11) announced that she has nominated 22 Michigan students for placement at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO and the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY.

Yesterday was an exciting day! The House voted to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, making historic investments in our country. 

For too long, Michigan's infrastructure has suffered from extreme lack of investment; our roads are crumbling, water pipes are bursting, and power lines are easily downed by heavy winds. Our state will receive $8.97 billion from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to make much needed improvements throughout Michigan. This bill will invest in:

Washington, DC– Today, Congresswoman Haley Stevens (D-MI) and Congressman Colin Allred (D-TX) led a letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi alongside Freshman and Sophomore House members whose districts are being seriously impacted by the semiconductor chip shortage. The Members are urging the Speaker to prioritize passage of the Creating Helpful Incentives for the Production of Semiconductors (CHIPS) for America Actfunding as soon as possible and to enact a semiconductor investment tax credit before the end of 2021.
