WASHINGTON – On Tuesday, Congresswoman Haley Stevens (MI-11) joined Detroit Regional Chamber President and CEO Sandy Baruah for a telephone town hall as part of an ongoing series organized by the business group.  

During the 30-minute call, Congresswoman Stevens discussed the federal response to the COVID-19 crisis, the resources available to businesses in southeast Michigan, and the upcoming implementation of the USMCA trade agreement, among other topics.

WASHINGTON – On Sunday evening, Congresswoman Haley Stevens (MI-11) led a telephone town hall to discuss the response to the coronavirus pandemic, her second telephone town hall event focused on COVID-19 this month. Guest speakers included Michigan Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II, Beaumont Health Medical Director of Community Health Dr. Asha Shajahan, and Director for the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity Jeff Donofrio. More than 5,000 constituents participated in the telephone town hall.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Haley Stevens (MI-11) made the following statement after voting to pass the CARES Act, the third phase of the federal response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The CARES Act will provide nearly $4 billion to help Michigan, which now has more confirmed cases of COVID-19 than all but four states.

Powell and United States Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, asking for the Federal Reserve to explore credit options for the domestic auto industry and its supply chain to mitigate the immediate economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Yesterday, major domestic automakers agreed to temporarily shut down all North American plants in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19.
