For this week's Manufacturing Monday, I traveled to Northville to visit Soulbrain MI. This incredible small manufacturing business makes electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries used throughout the high technology industry. This Administration's trade wars are having a serious impact on Soulbrain's supply chain, along with thousands of other small businesses of Michigan's 11th District. With businesses such as Soulbrain in mind, I sent a letter to the Administration three weeks ago, describing how this trade war could easily devastate our economy.

WASHINGTON – Today, as the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals hears oral arguments in the Texas v. U.S. lawsuit, Rep. Stevens responded to the Trump Administration’s latest efforts to strike down protections for people with pre-existing conditions as well as all of the benefits and protections provided by the Affordable Care Act. Rep. Stevens highlighted the devastating impact that the lawsuit could have on hard-working families throughout Michigan and across the country.

Magna is one of the world's largest auto suppliers, and they are playing a major role in the development and production of autonomous vehicles.
