It’s #ManufacturingMonday! Today, I visited SABIC in Wixom to learn more about their work & efforts to lightweight vehicles. I also got to see an exciting demonstration of the capacity of their material to withstand extreme temperatures, thus improving the safety of electric vehicles in emergency cases.
For this week’s #ManufacturingMonday, I visited Waymo in Novi to experience and learn more about their autonomous vehicle technology. We discussed how autonomous vehicles can move people and goods safely and effectively. Thanks, @Waymo!
Today, I visited The Composites Institute Scale-Up Research Facility at Corktown to learn more about their research and development capabilities in support of the auto industry and the unique workforce development opportunities that their facility allows! #ManufacturingMonday
For today’s #ManufacturingMonday, I visited SLI Medical in Novi to discuss the work they have done and continue to do to provide medical supplies throughout the pandemic!
Had a great time meeting with Valeo at their North America Headquarters in Troy for #ManufacturingMonday! They employ over 1,000 people in Michigan and are an incredibly diversified supplier producing technologies for electric cars and autonomous sensors known as LIDAR.
For today’s #ManufacturingMonday, I visited Aptiv in Troy to learn more about their work and experience their smart vehicle architecture. Aptiv works to deliver software capabilities, advanced computing platforms and networking architecture for vehicles. Thanks for having me!
Bollinger’s work to develop Class 3-6 all-electric platforms, which could be used for a multitude of commercial vehicles, will keep Michigan at the center of EV innovation!

For the first #ManufacturingMonday of 2022, I visited the MIAT College of Technology to tour their facilities and learn more about their organization.
We discussed the value of trade schools in closing the skills gap and filling talent shortages in the workforce.
For the last #ManufacturingMonday of 2021, I visited Geofabrica in Auburn Hills! Had an incredible time touring their facilities and hearing about the work they’re doing in additive manufacturing to address production and supply chain issues.
