It was so great to reconnect with my friends at AlphaUSA for #ManufacturingMonday to talk business updates, workforce development needs, and economic recovery!

Energized from my #ManufacturingMonday visit to Plastipak’s headquarters in Plymouth today! We discussed Plastipak’s recycling process and the important measures that they are taking to ensure sustainability.

Last week I toured my friends small business and facility, @detroitbikes, for #ManufacturingMonday! We had an enlightening conversation on how to strengthen US-based manufacturing and global supply chains.

I visited Altair in Troy for #ManufacturingMonday today. We talked about their hardware & software development for our Armed Forces & private sector. I was fascinated by their virtual proving ground concept with the Department of Defense! Really exciting things they’re working on here.

This afternoon, I visited Witzenmann in Troy for #ManufacturingMonday. They’re hiring, completely diversified between the automotive and aerospace sectors, plus they’ve been innovating since the 1850s and have a ton of proprietary machines and equipment.

Today, I visited Oxus in Auburn Hills for #ManufacturingMonday. It was great to chat about their work in the medical device manufacturing field & exciting to hear they’ve created 60 new jobs in the past 18 months. (It’s also nice to see people’s faces now that we’re vaccinated!)

Today, I visited Midwest Glass Fabricators for #ManufacturingMonday. We talked about how we can build a stronger workforce infrastructure in Michigan and across the country. I’m so impressed by the work they’re doing here and look forward to continue having these important conversations.

For yesterday’s #ManufacturingMonday, I visited AME Companies in Auburn Hills. We talked about their work in the automotive, government, and industrial sector. I'm so impressed at the expansive scope of work this small business is doing. Keep it up!
