WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the U.S House of Representatives passed bipartisan legislation to reauthorize the Older Americans Act, preserving funding for state and local programs to ensure our nation’s older adults have access to food, transportation, and other basic services they need to live independently and with dignity. H.R. 4334, the Dignity in Aging Act, passed unanimously in the U.S. House of Representatives.

WASHINGTON — Last week, Representative Haley Stevens (MI-11) joined Representatives Jahana Hayes (CT-05), Terri Sewell (AL-07), and Annie Kuster (NH-02) to introduce the Maximizing Drug Coverage for Low-Income Seniors Act (H.R. 4669). This bill seeks to improve the Medicare enrollment process and lower out-of-pocket costs by ensuring that beneficiaries are enrolled in a Part D plan that best meets their needs.

I recently had the pleasure of welcoming 700+ amazing middle school students at Schoolcraft College in Livonia to kick off Manufacturing Day 2019. Manufacturing Day is an opportunity for students to get a firsthand look at what today's engineers, technicians and other staff do each day at advanced manufacturing facilities across the region. Companies of all sizes opened their doors to provide a close look at their design labs, testing centers and manufacturing operations.
