WASHINGTON – Today, the House of Representatives passed an amendment led by Rep. Haley Stevens (MI-11) to H.R. 3055, the Commerce, Justice, Science, Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, Interior, Environment, Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, Transportation, and Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Act. The amendment was passed with overwhelming bipartisan support.

WASHINGTON – On Thursday, Rep. Haley Stevens (MI-11) voted to pass several bills out of the House Committee on Science, Space, & Technology, during a full committee markup. Three bills that passed during today’s markup aim to address major issues in the scientific community, including a lack of transparency and accountability when it comes to sexual harassment in the sciences, and a lack of opportunity for women, minorities, and other underrepresented groups in STEM fields.

WASHINGTON – On Friday, Rep. Haley Stevens (MI-11) released the findings from a new report by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. This report found that insulin prices for the 23,000 Medicare beneficiaries living with diabetes in Michigan’s 11th Congressional District are up to 4.9 times greater than in other countries.
