WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senators Gary Peters (MI) and Debbie Stabenow (MI), along with Congresswoman Haley Stevens (MI-11), and Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07), reintroduced a bipartisan, bicameral resolution calling for the immediate release of Michigander Paul Whelan from authorities under the Russian government. The reintroduction of the resolution comes as members of Michigan’s Congressional Delegation received a classified briefing, with officials from the Department of State to receive an update on Whelan’s wrongful detention.

The commemoration of a national day will call increased attention to Americans unjustly held abroad and increase the urgency to bring home every wrongfully detained American.

Washington, DC–Today, Reps. Haley Stevens (D-MI) and Jenniffer González-Colón (R-PR) introduced the bipartisan, Fix Moldy Housing Act. This bill authorizes a study and creates voluntary standards on how to best assess and remediate mold, provides funds to establish licensure programs to train proper mold assessment and remediation, and allocates funds for states and tribal governments to safely assess and remove mold from homes and public buildings.
