WASHINGTON—Today, Congresswoman Haley Stevens (MI-11) convened a hearing as Chairwoman of the House Subcommittee on Research & Technology. The hearing, called “Closing the Loop: Emerging Technologies in Plastics Recycling,” examined emerging recycling technologies and the technology gaps that prevent more of our plastics from being recycled. Today’s hearing was the first Science Committee hearing about recycling in a decade.

A group of AP Government students from Farmington Public Schools attended the roundtable and participated in the discussion.
LIVONIA, MI – On Thursday, April 18th, Congresswoman Haley Stevens (MI-11) will host a town hall meeting focused on education at Schoolcraft College in Livonia. Congresswoman Stevens will be joined by a diverse group of local education stakeholders including teachers, the President of the Michigan State Board of Education, the President of Schoolcraft College, the Superintendent of Plymouth-Canton Community Schools, and a representative from the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights. The event is free and open to the public.
