Yesterday was an exciting day! The House voted to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, making historic investments in our country.
For too long, Michigan's infrastructure has suffered from extreme lack of investment; our roads are crumbling, water pipes are bursting, and power lines are easily downed by heavy winds. Our state will receive $8.97 billion from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to make much needed improvements throughout Michigan. This bill will invest in:

Today’s #ManufacturingMonday was a two for one! I met with the teams at E&E Manufacturing and Globe Tech, and toured their state of the art facilities, both of which focus on automotive and military production. Thanks for showing me around and taking the time to discuss your needs in upcoming legislation!
The “Build Back Better” legislation played as a backdrop for U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during her Saturday visit to Plymouth.
Pelosi was joined by Democratic Congresswomen Haley Stevens (M-11) and Debbie Dingell (MI-12) and business leaders as part of a workforce roundtable at the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center.

Today I traveled to Troy for #ManufacturingMonday to meet with Intecells, a startup battery manufacturer. We discussed how the federal government can be a stronger partner in supporting innovative companies like Intecells, and better promote US competitiveness in manufacturing/EV. I so enjoyed meeting with them and touring their facilities!

Washington, DC– Today, Congresswoman Haley Stevens (D-MI) and Congressman Colin Allred (D-TX) led a letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi alongside Freshman and Sophomore House members whose districts are being seriously impacted by the semiconductor chip shortage. The Members are urging the Speaker to prioritize passage of the Creating Helpful Incentives for the Production of Semiconductors (CHIPS) for America Actfunding as soon as possible and to enact a semiconductor investment tax credit before the end of 2021.
Today I visited Our Next Energy (ONE), a new EV start-up in Novi for #ManufacturingMonday! I really enjoyed touring their facilities and hearing about about how they’re growing their business and bringing EV back to #MI11. Thanks for having me!

Today I visited UBCR in Wixom, a key player in the MI beverage container deposit system, for #ManufacturingMonday. They use their innovative technology to collect, transport, process, and recycle empty beverage containers with a recovery rate of 89%, highest in the nation!
