We had a very substantive conversation about what they need to thrive: consistency, a vision for the future, and sound and fair trade policies. Congresswoman Stevens cosponsored the Raise the Wage Act, which would gradually increase the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2024, and voted to advance the bill through the House Committee on Education and Labor.

For this week's Manufacturing Monday, I traveled to Northville to visit Soulbrain MI. This incredible small manufacturing business makes electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries used throughout the high technology industry. This Administration's trade wars are having a serious impact on Soulbrain's supply chain, along with thousands of other small businesses of Michigan's 11th District. With businesses such as Soulbrain in mind, I sent a letter to the Administration three weeks ago, describing how this trade war could easily devastate our economy.
